Borneo Garden : IF

Watercolor + colored pencil on paper

Painting landscape for this week garden theme was everything I want to avoid. I want something like a close up of tiny creatures crawling underneath the leaves or just simply an arragement of garden tools. Somehow, i end up playing merely with composition and colors (landscape!). I purposely ignore the need to work on the detail and use pencil color to touch up and reveal the paper textured surface. It didn't take long for me to finish working with the watercolor but the touching up extend the whole process to 4 hours.

Enjoy, and have a nice week!

I love the bright colours in your blog page and fascinated by the use of watercolour. Curious to what else may be in the garden hiding. thanks for your comment too.

wow..awesomenyerr... suka komposisi yang anggun seperti tuannya, serta penggunaan warna. Tampak ceria dan bertenaga, tapi masih berjaya mengekalkan kelembutan dan juga kehormoniannya lukisan itu.

clap clap..

i like it

Your medium fits this landscape very well. Watercolors just seem to go with a garden. You've created a feeling of softness, of "greeness", one feels one is truly in the garden. I like as well your composition, the garden path invites you into the piece. Well done, bravo!

This is so beautiful! My favorite part is the tree trunks and branches. I also love how the smooth areas complement the more detailed areas. Nice job as usual!

Now THIS lovely garden path urges me to walk down it and explore what's beyond. Attractive colors and atmospheric feeling! Good work.
