Rescued
This morning,I was positive that this ATC is going into the dustbin.
I crumpled it up, to avoid second thought.
Main reason, I was unsatisfied with the composition.
Hm,
but I like to give a last chance.
Unplanned
I think we are lucky,if we can still throw away things
that didn't go as planned,
and the action will not ruin anything
or anybody in our lives.
Ok now I feel a bit guilty,
I think the card deserves a chance
to be completed before being judged.

Current Status
My camera is not available at the moment, but i think my handphone is doing the job just great.I will include the above ATC in my Butterfly set for the next swap.

Those who are not familiar with ATC might wonder,
how big an ATC can be?
Well,
the above photo shows the actual size of it.
remember it's strictly 2.5 x 3.5 inch.
I am currently working on
a video for our previous swap.
but it's taking so much time,
everytime I want to edit the text, the window always crash.
I have all the photos ready,
so if anyone care enough to lend a helping hand,
I would be most delighted,
you can put the credit to yourself at the end of the video.
I'm planning to upload it to youtube,
so anyone can get back to that little online exhibition,
anytime.
trying to complete commissioned jobs.
trying to recover some lost documents due to computer problem early this year.
i need to chase the deadline,
Ooops, the deadline is chasing me actually.
I'm also in the middle of considering one very important thing,
I am still undecided
but I must say, it's the core of the existence of this blog.
Urm, that's all I can tell,
at the moment.
I'd like to wish all my chinese friends,

I'm planning to draw something for you on CNY actually,
but time does not permit.

Rules and Regulations (MUST READ);
1. The measurement of each card MUST BE 2.5 x 3.5 inches. It is advisable that the paper used for drawing / painting the ATC must be of high quality card stock that is neither to thin or easily damaged.
2. Participant may use any technique or medium to draw / paint.
3. Leave your name in the comment area for this entry and I will update the list of participants from time to time.
4. All ATCs must reach the host before the closing date.
5. Please include these particulars behind your cards;
Title, Artist Name, Date, Location. You can even write your address and phone number just consider your ATC as your artistic business card and lastly don’t forget to sign your card.
6. After the closing date, you will receive 3 cards from 3 different artists. No one will receive their own cards.
7. The Swap Event will be done in the manner described below.
• Every card received will be given a number (to identify the artist).
• After the closing date, three cards will be drawn from the pile of ATCs received for this swap.
• Should an artist accidentally get their own ATC, a re-draw will be held untill they get a card that did not belong to them.
8. Eventhough the ATCs are meant to be swapped for free, but it is hoped that we will try our best to make it worth to be treasured.
9. Important!! All artworks are copyright to their respective artists. Even though the cards are swapped, the current holder of the card does not have the copyright to sell or use the card for commercial purposes.

Peacock ATC
Working on an ATC request,

The peacock design is derived from Javanese batik motifs.

Time
is flying so fast. I found a couple strands of white hair on top of my head and wondering whether it is already time for them to be there.
June is almost here isn't it? No matter how much I keep myself busy, there are still lots of things waiting to be done. Some of them already months old.
I was cleaning up the memory card by deleting unwanted photos one by one. Looking at these pictures of last year's ATCs and drawing makes me MISS drawing SO MUCH. I have not even produce a single ATC or drawing this year.
I really miss drawing.
SO SO MUCH.

Made for Genxster
When Genxster asked me whether I am interested to trade card with her, I was jumping with joy, especially when she said she do take request. I have always waiting for this opportunity as I really admire her works on potraits. So without any hesitation, I request for a potrait of me and hubby, and she agree. This is the card she made for me. Tadaa!!
Genxster told me that she saw a series of Harajuku Girl cards in IllustratedATCs and request me to draw something like that. One day, I happened to wander in a survenir shop and saw a set of five or six little handcarved wooden dolls, dressed up with different Sabahan ethnic traditional costumes. They looked pretty gorgeous in a set. The moment I saw these cute dolls, I knew I would want to draw something close to my own root for Genxster. She love drawing and collecting potraits, as according to her, "faces never failed to fascinate me". I just hope this potrait of Sabahan Girl will be a good add to her potrait collection.
Sabah's population is heterogenous and culturally diversed with more than 30 ethnic races and 80 local dialects. Some ethnic groups, for example Kadazan, the dialects spoken and costumes are different between districts. At the beginning, I wanted to draw the most common Kadazan costume but after I saw a photo this one, I am attracted to the colorful beaded collar, hairband and most importantly, earings. I am unable to point accurately this costume belongs to which indigenous group, but after discussing with Debbie, we came to a rough conclusion that it may be a fusion between Sabah and Sarawak traditional costume elements (maybe?). To any Sabahan who read this post and knows better, let me know okay.

Helooo...freebies, anyone?
Well, we are still waiting for the lucky 9th commentor, so all comments can be published. Not easy for an unfamous blog, huh. Hehe, but it's okay. No rush. Nothing to lose for waiting. I don't want to promote this offer, just waiting for any lucky visitor to fill the place.I am preparing myself to produce Monday Artday ATC sized (2.5 x 3.5) artwork at the moment. ATC stands for Artist Trading Card, there are generally handmade and used for trading with fellow artist through the mail. This is fun, no need to spend much time for a drawing. Like this one, I made it last night, while watching TV. But not ready for trading yet. I experiment with different scanner setting few times but still difficult to get the original quality image. Without tweaking, I think the original still looks better. Below is the comparison between image produced with scanner and camera. Give me your opinion, or advice, please. But I always prefer to use camera than scanner.
Glad to have apron in my drawing at last! I loooove aprons. If I can have many of them, I would be happy changing aprons everyday! I love sewing aprons and the chef hat...still learning how to sew that one. I even dream of selling mangosteenskin-branded aprons one day! p/s: She does look a bit fat (maybe 5-10% fatter) in the camera photo, right? Or is it just my eyes?
